A day out at Lagos Zoo

We have made friends with a lovely couple, Simon and Emma, who moved to the Algarve from Wales three years ago along with their two children, Ffion and Oscar, and their five dogs! Shortly after them, came Emma’s mother, sister and niece, and who could blame them…great move, everyone 😎

We met Simon and Emma through the work they do with rescue animals here in the Algarve, as they helped us out in a big way with both Pip and Nelly. On their land, Simon, Emma, Ffion and Oscar now have 10 pigs, five dogs, a donkey and some goats and sheep, along with a big variety of chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, tortoises, tarantulas, snakes and more! They are a family with very caring hearts 💙 

15th August 2020: Today we had a fantastic day out with the Battens to Lagos Zoo, one of their favourite spots for an outing and we can see why! It’s a great place.
