Autumnal Equinox 2020
Autumnal equinox wishes to all of you, from Falésia!
On 12th September, we moved back into the van after our two months in Guia. Morgan and Olwen were both very sad to be leaving their pal Darcie and to be leaving the luxurious apartment itself. We’re still in the Algarve as we wait for the final parts to arrive for our van and so we have had chances to meet up with Darcie and her family and with Ffion and Oscar too.
Since we left Guia, we have been parked up at Algarve Motorhome Park, Falésia. We plan to be here for another week or so. Our aim is to head for Greece at that point – travelling as swiftly as we can manage through Spain to Barcelona (two days’ driving), then a 20hr ferry trip from Barcelona to Civitavecchia, north of Rome; driving then to the south east of Italy, another day’s driving, and a 17hr ferry journey from Brindisi to Patras … and then breathe!
The Covid levels have remained low here in the Algarve, and rural Greece is also comparatively good, so we hope to get safely from one low incidence area to another, and get to spend the winter seeing more of Greece, a country we have visited many times but can never get enough of.
Our location at the moment on this motorhome site is a 300m walk to the beach. We are enjoying having at least one swim a day. Here are some pics showing life at the Falésia site:
Here’s Caitríona, hard at work 😎
Beautiful at night also:
