Pip leaves us for a new life in Wales
Hi all, hoping this finds you safe and well ❤️ and adjusting to the current new normality.
Today the borders opened between Portugal and Spain. We will be watching to see how this changes things around here. At the moment, there are visitors to the area, but almost all are Portuguese. We have heard of some people beginning to arrive in from the UK. So we are watching, and waiting.
Our main news is that we have concluded with very heavy hearts that two adults, two children and a very active dog, in a van, is not a great mix. Pip is such a fantastic little dog, mad as a bag of frogs, fast as a miniature greyhound, adoring and adorable and intense! It is both for his sake as well as ours that we decided to look for a new, more suitable home for him, one with a garden and space to run around. We go on a couple of walks a day where he can go off leash (nowhere near a road) but the rest of the time, he has to be on a leash and kept safe here on our site. It’s just not fair on him, nor is it good for him. You can tell that we have struggled with this decision, I’m sure! We so wish it had worked out and we will really miss him.
The good news is that Pip is going to south Wales, to friends of friends, Katrina and Mike, who are dog lovers and experienced owners. They are incredibly excited and can’t wait for him to arrive. So, he is definitely going to a great new home. We will be staying in touch and, when we are next in south Wales, we can call and visit! So, overall, this is the best outcome.
Here are our last pics of Pip in Portugal ❤️💙💜
A little clip showing how fast Pip runs, like a bullet! But he listens to us and returns to us when we call 💙

Tough day 😢
