Back to Wales!
After Shrewsbury, it was back to Wales with us to see family and friends before heading for mainland Europe. We didn’t remember to take pics of everyone we visited, but thanks to everyone for the cups of tea, dinners, cakes and chats, and to Guy and Tina for hosting us! We miss you!

After leaving Aberystwyth, we headed south to call on family and friends in south Wales. We called to visit the Orchard/Williams clan in Porth in the Rhondda Valley, Saul’s family on his grandmother Nanci’s side. Saul only in recent years made contact with this branch of the family, thanks to connections made on ancestry.com !

25th November: We stayed over with Saul’s sister Phaedra, and Sion, Sam, Jac and Gwen in Cardiff (and forgot to take a pic 😞). But we got to see their gorgeous new house for the first time and have a lovely meal and evening with them, which was great. Then, the next day, our final stop in Wales was to visit our great friend, Steve Vaughan, in Cwmbran. Steve had a huge meal ready and waiting for us; we were really piling on the pounds with all this amazing hospitality! We loved catching up with Steve and getting to spend time with him, and even making plans to maybe meet up somewhere out there on the road? Who knows…

And then it was time to say hwyl fawr i Gymru and drive back over the border into England, to visit our last set of friends before sailing to France. This was the most sociable trip we have ever had! We are truly blessed with our family and friends.
